Operation Amped is a Home front surfing ministry for disabled Veterans. In the Video below, there were lots of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans there with physical and emotional wounds. One Veteran was 70 years old. There were lots of professionals there to assist the Veterans and get them in the water. It was founded by a Veteran in 2006 and he saw the benefits and healing power of over coming adverse effects of war and he began Operation Amped then.

I began by sending emails and thank you letters through America Reaches Out (No longer operating properly as a link) and Any Soldier. So there are lots of ways to send love and support to our troops. Even if you don't have access to a computer you can send letters to one of the contact lists named beneath.
I have sent over 1000 U.S. Postal Letters and cards since Spring of 2006 where I began in Laredo, Texas to hand write the troops. These are my hand made prayer clothes that I make for the troops. Sometimes I hand sow them. And when I run out of thread I use a permanent marker. I have sent over 100 between JUNE 2008-JUNE 2009. Some (about 50) were sent to Military Warrior in San Antonio and some were sent to Operation Homefront. The rest were sent individually to troops via A Millon Thanks, Pen Pals for Soldiers. Recently I joined Soldiers Angels and will be sending some through them and throughYellow Ribbon Support Group. One of my poems (for the troops) was created as I awoke one morning so very thankful for the peaceful surroundings and the pleasant atmosphere of my quiet home at that time in Branford, Florida. My thanks and gratitude are always directed to the Lord and in this particular work are given to our active military who have been fighting in Iraq to keep peace here in America.

To our United States Military and our allies.
Though I have never seen you, you are always in my heart
As I walk under the pecan tree and see the dogwood budding near
My heart is lightly relishing this wonderful peace of heaven on earth;
because of God and you, now there is no need to fear.
While I am walking in the yard, amidst the pecans and oak trees, I gaze upon a red bird on a branch;
I whisper a prayer of gratitude and thanks!
It is because of what your doing, and because of who you are;
that I can lay upon my bed safely, glancing in the woods to see a squirrel shuffling, or hear a bird singing; because there is peace!
To awaken to the beauty of how it should always be;
A safe dwelling place of refuge with the birds singing safely. To look out of my window at a life haven and of peace;
Peace within my borders; a world all at rest
at least is how it appears 'till, I hear of what your doing;
a sacrifice you've made;
To let me enjoy the solemn heaven of my world at peace;
I couldn't have one bit of it without your sacrifice;
The hell that your experiencing has made my world so nice;
To see the bird just resting not fleeing in haste or fear;
is only because she is safely dwelling in the place you helped provide that is here.
With all my heart I thank you and can't begin to pen my thoughts of how I feel;

Joel Osteen at Lakewood church in Houston
for the first service. Then I would skip over to
Rick Warren's Saddleback church (Purpose Driven Life Author)
for the service there in the Irving, California area. It was really nice getting to go to those massive services. It was so real I almost felt as if I were there because they were live services. I had communion with Both churches so now I truly am a part of their churches. Now, I am back into a local church and it is so nice to be able to meet local people and have new friends. I understand that it is not as easy to make it to a live service for those serving in Iraq or Afghanistan so here is a link to keep the

Dedicated to All of the American Veterans of the Iraqi War;
I would like to share with all of the troops my testimony which is not documented or recorded but is a living witness to the power of the gospel of Christ Jesus.

I, like some of the troops was diagnosed with Post Trauma Stress Disorder. After loosing a five bedroom home and my four children in December of '94 and forced to go live in an abandoned home in the city of Jackson, Mississippi where crime was thriving.

I had no where to live but an abandoned apt. across from a drug and alcohol treatment gathering hall.

I had never lived in a city before. Only in small towns where I was always protected.

I wasn't used to ever hearing guns go off in my neighborhood, and I didn't know what crack was. I wasn't used to seeing drug users walk up and down the street.

I was terrified, I was all alone and I got mentally sick with PTSD. I was also depressed being separated from my children so I didn't get any better. It went from bad to worse.

I didn't have food to eat and there wasn't anywhere I could go to get help. For four months all I had to eat was a box of cereal, a jar of peanut butter and a bottle of honey. I would eat one tablespoon of each item every day.

I didn't know that I wasn't eating enough for the stress on my body as I had just learned a little about fasting. I needed to lose weight anyway and that was all I had to eat.

Every once in a while a neighbor would invite me to his apt. to eat boiled eggs or occasionally a steak. But that was a rare occasion. That following Fall, I developed an inner ear infection and bronchitis as the drivers window was out in my 1967 Barracuda.

I was raped and all I could do was sit up all night long reading my bible by candle light holding onto a baseball bat with the door cracked because it was broken as well as the window. When I would finally sleep I would place a chair and wedge it in front of the door so that I would hear someone if they tried to break in.

It would get 120 degree in there with no electricity in the summer and freezing cold in the winter. I was too terrified to sleep. The first time I heard something in that dark, creepy place It was so hot that sweat just dripped off of me.

I was in my bathing suit to keep some kind of clothes on and be able to breath.

It was late one night about three A.M. and I heard something and the bed moved.

I jumped up and ran to my car still in my bathing suit and drove to my friends house. I pounded on the door but they were sound asleep. I was in my bathing suit in the middle of the night in Jackson, Mississippi. I drove over there in a 1967 Barracuda that had the drivers side window busted out of it.

That was the nearest to "Crazy" that I have ever been. That had to be when I developed PTSD.

Rod Parsley is one of my favorite preachers. He tells a story of how Smith Wigglesworth once had his bed move around on him. Now I know that it was just the devil making those noises and made my bed move. But with no electricity, and all the other things that was going on around there it scared the mess out of me.

I would stay up all night then sleep at the crack of dawn. That went on for two and a half yrs. In the winter I would get so cold that the wind would blow right through the coats and blankets that I would wrap myself in.

The good thing that came out of it was that I read the bible. I got the bible down inside of me. It changed who I was inside as I devoured the bible.

The devil used to pick on Smith Wigglesworth too.

But Them good ole timey preachers got smart just like me and we found out it was just the devil and that he couldn't hurt us. The devil can only torrment as long as you allow him to. But he can't hurt you. If you are a born again Christian you can take authority over him by binding him and casting him out.

I like to anoint my dwelling place with prayer, and reading the bible out loud and then with holy anointed olive oil. It has never once failed to bring the expected result of deliverance and blessing. I just have to put forth the time, and effort that it requires.

Now, after staying in the word, learning the ways of God, I no longer turn to men, sex, drugs, or alcohol, or even cigarettes for comfort.

God has totally set me free from all of those things.

I rely on prayer, the word of God and being obedient to the Holy Spirit and what He wants me to do. I pray that my testimony can somehow help a troop be healed from PTSD.

It is a wonder and a miracle that I am still alive after some of the things I have lived through. All you have to do is go to Jackson Revival Center off Silas Brown and many of the leadership there can verify to the validity of that testimony. It happened between December 1994 and June 1996

Please make sure that none of our troops ever go without housing. I am not so sure that anyone could understand the devastation that particular social problem has on an individuals health, their own personal family, and even their futures.

I have seen far too many troops who gave the best of the years, the best of their health, their minds and talents to protect and serve this Nation only to be forgotten in the streets of Florida, Mississippi and Texas.

Joshua Journey

There is an ancient path or the old ways in Isaiah 35:8 where even a fool who goes there on shall not go astray. I searched out the scriptures and found the fastest way to that ancient path in Isaiah is in Joshua and in Exodus.

and Exodus 20.

The Old ways, the ancient path, the highway of holiness comes only from having Jesus Christ as your One and only Lord and by obeying His word beginning with the statutes of Moses found in Exodus 20 specifically the ten commandments. I started on this path about seven years ago in 2000.

Never before has anything so profoundly changed my life as this has other than becoming born again by the Holy Spirit after I was saved. I have never been a fighter even when my mother told me to fight back and defend myself from my baby sister who was attacking me.

I couldn't do it, I couldn't bare the thought of hurting another. Maybe that is a fault or inner weakness to love all fellowman kind. I pray that it is not because I have sowed the seeds of a "big heart" into all four of my children.

However, in my adult life, I was attacked and learned that sometimes it is necessary to fight back if you want to survive. I was attacked with relentless blows from an advisory who didn't care how many laws they broke or how foul they fought against me. Now know this, the new testament teaches that we war or wrestle not with flesh and blood but with powers and principalities, rulers of darkness in high places.

That may be something you have never heard before, but in the church community where I have congregated the body of members for the most part are very familiar with that scripture. It is talking about demons and devils, spirits and imps. Hallelujah! Just as angels and God are real, so is demons and Satan.

Just as Christ Jesus came to give us life and blessing, the devil has come to kill, steal and destroy. And unless you know how to do spiritual warfare he can have a heyday with you.

Thank God ignorance is bliss for the most part because he doesn't mess with those who don't know what he is doing the way that he fights the ones who knows how to stop him. God help us all! Even when you do know how to do spiritual warfare he is still an enemy who can't be taken lightly.

Satan tends to really fight the ones who are a threat to his plans or his power. With his main desire being the same as it is today with the Nation of Israel, and that is "to cut them off from being a nation" as the book of Psalms tells us.

Even in the natural there are others who are helping evil doers and they are flesh and blood being used by Satan just as once even the Lord Jesus had to rebuke Peter one of his great disciples and tell him "Get thee behind me Satan."

There are people who have no desire or knowledge to please or fear the Lord. And they are being used to do the work of the devil. But they are not more powerful than God and every knee must bow down to Jesus and the one who is doing His work on the earth can implement His authority in prayer.

Sometimes we can be so battle weary that if the spirit of the Lord doesn't inter vein we will not make it. And I have found myself there more than I would have ever chose to be. When I am weak, He is strong. And I can do nothing without Him. He also has His mighty warring angels that do His work and perform His word when the hear a Christian speak it forth. Sometimes we aren't even able to do that.

There are times in the life of God's prophets or intercessors that they have no strength or might left to fight, and I believe that is when God fights the greatest. That is when you will see the works of His hands.

Unless the Lord had of been my help I would have as soon perished. He is continually helping me. But the battle has not ended. The only difference is that I was attacked and didn't have any real ammunition for the first five years of the fight for my life until I got on the Joshua Journey.

Now, rarely do I see any defeats if at all. But, my goal is not just my own victory, rather to see everyone get saved no matter who is involved either by looking on or by being an actual evil doer who is attacking me or my children in any way shape or form.

Another great piece of artillery that I use is prayer, and most of the time accompanied by some type of fasting. Speaking the word specifically one that GOD has given me especially for a certain situation.

He is faithful like that, He has a word for every single situation we will ever face in this life. His gifts are mighty and His power is awesome. Hallelujah!
